APAR status

Error description

  • The customer created a new template for the switch Brocade
VDX6740T-1G, although he was able to discover it but it was only
 visible in Unknown IP or Another IP Device on Data management
console. They want it actually added inside switch or router.

Since the model of brocade device coming NULL, this template was
getting removed as per code design so changed the code to
retrieve the model of brocade switch as well which would work
with one property set with model of brocade:


com.ibm.cdb.discover.sensor.net.snmpmib2.SnmpMib2Sensor.NetworkS
witchModel=VDX,6740T

Problem summary

  • The customer created a new template for the switch Brocade
VDX6740T-1G. Though he was able to discover it, but it was only
 visible in Unknown IP or Another IP Device on Data management
console. While it should have been added inside switch or
router.
Since the model of brocade device was coming NULL, this
template was getting removed. This APAR fix retrieves the model
of brocade switch as well which would work with one property
set with model of brocade:
