Error description

  • An abend crash occurs during the run time of an application,
    related to the C++ Runtime Library's handling of exception
    objects.  The symptom of the problem may be a segmentation
    fault, or illegal instruction due to a bad branch target.
    
    The crash may occur during the processing of an excption or
    after the exception object has been thrown.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The stack pointer does not restore properly after catching an
    exception in some situations.  Program crashes after catching
    an exception.
    
    USERS AFFECTED:
    User source with heavy exception usage.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The issue was corrected.
