APAR status

Error description

  • Whenever the TADDM will do the discovery of the Oracle RAC
environment then only those nodes which have SCAN IP configured
over them will be fully discovered and for rest of the
nodes/Instances there would be shallow discovery.

Problem summary

  • In document section:
Sensor reference > Database sensors > Oracle sensor > Oracle
RAC discovery > RAC discovery information
It misses to mention that in Oracle RAC environment, TADDM
discovers only those nodes that have SCAN IPs configured.

Problem conclusion

  • The following line shall be added in the document section:
Sensor reference > Database sensors > Oracle sensor > Oracle
RAC discovery > RAC discovery information
In Oracle RAC enviornment, TADDM discovers only those nodes
that have SACN IP configured. For other nodes and instances,
TADDM discovers limited information.
