APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Whenever an RTEMS goes off-line or when a Mirror Hub is promoted
  to the role of Primary following an FTO failover, the Hub turns
  the relevant agents off-line;The expectation is that they will
  reconnect shortly to a different RTEMS/Mirror HUB.
  To prevent MS_Offline events from being generated during this
  brief outage, the Hub marks all of the agents with the tag "FA";
  The MS_Offline Situation is coded to ignore all statuses that
  are so tagged.
  After a predefined period, the "FA" is removed.
  This is a request to increase the maximum value up to 48 hours.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

   reconnect shortly to a different RTEMS/Mirror HUB.  To prevent
  MS_Offline events from being generated during this
  brief outage, the Hub marks all of the agents with the tag "FA";
  the MS_Offline Situation is coded to ignore all statuses that
  are so tagged.
  After a predefined period, the "FA" tag is removed which will
  allow MS_Offline events to be generated.
  The maximum grace period was 120 minutes which was considered
  too low under certain circumstances.
  
  
  An enhancement to increase the grace period following the outage
  of a TEMS before the MS_Offline Situation is triggered for those
  agents.
  

Problem conclusion

• The maximum grace period was increased to 2880 minutes, (48
  hours).
  The default grace period is 12 minutes and can be overridden
  using the TEMS environment variable: CMS_FA_GEN_CLEANUP.
