IJ02771: ORACLEAGENT.W.34 SHOULD SAY "ORACLE RAC ENVIRONMENT HAS SEVERAL SCAN IPS AND THE DISCOVERY IS PERFORMED USING ONE OF THESE IP'S"

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The OracleSensor can throw an OracleAgent.W.34 message when a
  customer discovers an IP on an oracle server that is not a SCAN
  VIP.
  
  The problem is, that what the customer sees is actually
  "OracleAgent.W.34" and not the message text, eg;
  
  Oracle RAC environment has been detected. The current Oracle SID
  IP <SID> does not represent the SCAN IP. The discovery will be
  completed using a sensor through one of SCAN IPs.
  
  
  This apar is to correct the message text so it is displayed
  correctly.
  

Local fix

• Note the correct text in this APAR and discover the oracle
  server on a SCAN VIP. The SCAN VIP list can be seen in the
  oracle sensor log with DEBUG enabled, just search for 'SCAN
  VIP'.

Problem summary
