APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The MMC GUI included with:
  Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager on Windows
  Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager for Microsoft SQL Server
  Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases: Data Protection for
  Microsoft SQL Server
  doesn't show any warning messages when an unsupported version of
  Microsoft SQL Server is installed on the system.
  

Local fix

• 1) Please review the HW & SW requirements associated with your
  level of FlashCopy Manager for Microsoft SQL Server or Data
  Protection for Microsoft SQL Server. The "All Requirements
  Document" provides links to the requirements documents for all
  supported releases.

  This fix is projected to be available in:
     - Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases: Data
       Protection for Microsoft SQL Server version 7.1.0.1
     - Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager  for Microsoft
       SQL Server 4.1.0.1
  Note: This information is subject to change at the discretion of
  IBM.
  

Problem conclusion

• Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager for Microsoft SQL Server 4.1
  and Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases: Data Protection for
  Microsoft SQL Server 7.1 do not support SQL 2000 and SQL
  2005. The MMC config wizard has been updated to report warning a
  message and fail the configuration when the SQL Server is 2000
  or 2005.
