    SNA/LLC2 3270 session gets pcscm.exe Application error
    
    The system error occurs when the keyboard is hit repeatedly
    for the scroll.
    
    System error - PCSCM is not running. Press OK to terminate PCOMM
    session.
    
    Application Error pcscm.exe is recorded on an Windows event
    log. This issue has occurred with multiple PCs.

Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: PCSCM.EXE crashes when a user hits the  *
    *                      keyboard repeatedly to scroll the 3270  *
    *                      Emulator screen connected over SNA      *

    A 3270 Emulator session is established over SNA connectivity.
    When the user hits the keyboard repeatedly to scroll the
    screen,  PCSCM crashes with the following error:
    "PCSCM is not running. Press OK to terminate the PCOMM
    session"
    

Problem conclusion

  • The crash was caused by a Null pointer exception in the IBM
    Personal Communications SNA code. Changes have been made to
    PCSRUINW.DLL, PCSRUISN.DLL and PCSRUISS.DLL to rectify the
    problem.
    
    Fix is scheduled for PCOM 6.0.10 Refresh Pack
