APAR status

Error description

  • When selecting the "File Spaces" tab in the Node view on the
    Operations Center, an error message like the following may be
    raised:
    
    "Impossible to recover the data"
    
    The problem will occur for every node in the environment using
    the Operations Center, while a "query filespace" command instead
    works fine.
    This issue will be seen only when running the Tivoli Storage
    Manager server on an Operating System with a number format that
    uses 'comma' character for the decimal point.
    For example,  Operating Systems installed in French or  Italian
    language
    
    
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    The problem is caused by the JSON data that is sent from the
    Tivoli Storage Manager server to the Operations Center because
    it is not formatted correctly:
    the server  does not correctly handle numbers that have commas
    instead of period character for the decimal point .

Local fix

  • Change the OS "number format" on the Tivoli Storage Manager
    Server to use the period character as the decimal point.
