  • The Connect:Direct Server adapter stays active after
RAC failover. Any transfers started after failover are
successful.

Problem Description:
The adapter reports "SQLRecoverableException: No more data to
read from socket" in its cdinterop.log when the primary node in
an Oracle RAC (with 2 nodes) is switched (as in a failover
scenario).

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary:
Database operations supporting Connect:Direct Server adapter
sessions now handle the java.sql.SQLRecoverableException,
which is thrown by the Oracle JDBC driver in an Oracle
RAC failover scenario.
