Comments

  • On an HDR or RSS secondary server, the user needs to perform
mirror recovery on a newly-added mirror chunk manually. (On SDS
secondary servers the process happens automatically.) The need
for manual mirror recovery is documented here:
    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSGU8G_11.70.0/com
    .ibm.admin.doc/ids_admin_0940.htm
    in the section
    "Informix Servers 11.70.0>Administering>System
    administration>Administrator's Guide>High availability and
    scalability>Cluster administration>Performing basic
administration tasks>Use and change mirroring of chunks"
In order to avoid similar confusion in the future, HDR and RSS
servers in future releases of the Informix 11.70 and 12.10
server will raise an alarm with class id 4 and event id 4005 to
remind the user to perform mirror recovery. The alarm is
    described here:
    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSGU8G_11.70.0/com
    .ibm.adref.doc/ids_adr_0676.htm
    in section "Informix Servers 11.70.0>Administering>System
    administration>Administrator's Reference>Appendixes>Event
    Alarms>Event alarm IDs"
