Error description

  • A very small timing window exists after the HALT command is
    issued where the main thread can try to close a connection
    that has already been released and can result in a hang
    condition.

Local fix

  • None.
    
    Follow these steps to recover:
    1. Login to the OS as the Server instance owner (by default this
       is  tsminst1).
    2. Kill the Server proces using OS commands.
    3. Run these DB2 commands:
       db2 force application all
       db2 terminate
       db2stop
    4. Restart the Tivoli Storage Manager Server normally.
