APAR status

Error description

• The TSMDLST command displays the 3592 devices as GENERICTAPE.
  The root cause of the behavior is that Tivoli Storage Manager
  console package looks for an incorrect device product ID. The
  device is not properly recognized and the TSMDLST command shows
  the device as GENERICTAPE.
  This only affects the Tivoli Storage Manager console package
  and TSMDLST command, the devices are correctly owned by the
  IBMtape driver, and the Tivoli Storage Manager server is still
  able to define the devices as 3592 devices and not as
  GENERICTAPE.

  All supported Tivoli Storage Manager console packages on all
  supported Windows operating system versions.
