APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In firmware 6.0.0.0 if you save a checkpoint and then create a
    new object, save the configuration, then do a checkpoint
    rollback, the new object is not deleted as it should be.

Local fix

  • Use the Configuration Comparison screen to compare the
    configuration checkpoint and the running configuration;
    manually delete the "Added" objects

Problem summary

  • The user was observing incorrect behavior of the checkpoint
    rollback feature on the appliance. Specifically, any new objects
    that have been created after the configuration checkpoint was
    recorded were not being removed during the rollback. This
    behavior was caused by an error in the rollback function.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
