IC91969: RESTART MIGHT OCCUR DURING SHOW DOCUMENT-* AFTER A HANG ON GET REQUEST FOR MULTI-PROTOCOL GATEWAY WITH DOCUMENT CACHE POLICY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using Multi-Protocol Gateway as the service for document cache,
  with a processing policy which uses 'Route' action, sending a
  GET request might result in a request hang. When the GET request
   hangs, issuing the "show document-cache" or "show
  document-status" command results in an unexpected restart.
  

Local fix

• Use an XML Firewall as the service for document cache.
  

Problem summary

• Affected are Multi-Protocol Gateway services that issue "show
  document-cache" or "show document-status" commands while the
  service is processing (an exceedingly large) GET request.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is available in 4.0.1.18, 4.0.2.14, 5.0.0.9 and 6.0.0.0.
