APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Using a 9235 appliance and running DataPower 5.0.0.0 -
5.0.0.8, when the WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) Map
    file (*.dpa) that a transform
binary action uses is updated, the cached copy of the WTX
map file is used instead of the updated WTX map file.

Local fix

  • Use one of the following as a workaround:

    1) Rename the WTX map file and use the renamed file in the
    transform binary action.

    2) Copy or move the WTX map file to a different directory and
update the transform binary action accordingly.

    3) Reload the appliance.

Problem summary

  • Copying a new .dpa file to
overwrite an existing one does not trigger a cache flush. The
    old .dpa remains cached.
