Error description
During the "Preinstallation Validation" step of the install, the TPC installation fails with a pop-up window containing error message BPCIN0231E and shows that TPC selected the wrong domain. This happens when there are two or more Active Directory domains in the forest that are related by a trust (transitive or non-transitive). This error can be seen as a window pop-up during the install, and also in the lax-*-out.txt log files. RECREATE STEPS: - Create two domains with name Desired and Other, respectively. - Create a trust between them (transitive or otherwise). - Populate Desired and Other with distinct users. - Start the TPC installation by using an account in the Desired domain. - In the "Preinstallation Validation" step, use the information from the account in the Desired domain. - Click Next. - Installation fails with error message BPCIN0231E and text "... The detected domain name is 'Other'."
