IC90796: ALTER TABLE MODIFY FAILS WITH -366. VIEW SEEMS TO CONTAIN INVALID CAST WHICH WAS NOT THERE ON CREATION

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer tries to alter a char column.
  
    366: The scale exceeds the maximum precision specified.
    110: ISAM error:  end or beginning of the file.
  
  Same error occurs if dumping the view with dbschema and trying
  to recreate it.
  The schema has the following cast added in several places:
  
      CAST: "::decimal(32,255) "  (always after something [a,b],
  "+0" removed).
  
  View created with: ..."x1.time  [1,2] + 0.
  

Local fix

• Workaround is to drop view and recreate it later.
