IC90388: A PROCESSING POLICY THAT OPENS A BINARY SOAP ATTACHMENT AS BASE64 ENCODED MIGHT CAUSE AN APPLIANCE RESTART

Error description

• A DataPower processing policy that includes opening a binary
  SOAP attachment as base64 encoded might cause an appliance
  restart.  For example, an appliance where a service processing
  policy that includes a fetch action with source
  attachment://ctx/cid:binary?Encode=base64 might encounter this
  issue.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Affected are all customers using a Processing Policy with a
  Fetch action and/or an FTP URL-Opener configured with base64
  encoding.
  
  
  With a very specific size of the input data to be encoded, the
  appliance might restart.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is available in 4.0.1.17, 4.0.2.13 and 5.0.0.8.
