    The password in T_RES_SERVER is not updated correctly during the
    upgrade.
    This can happen when there are different users and passwords for
    TPC common user and DB2 admin user.

    Affected Releases:
    ==================
    All platforms after an upgrade from 4.x to 5.1.0 or 5.1.1

Local fix

  • 1. Stop the Data Server and the Device server
    2. Edit TPC_INSTALL_DIR/device/conf/setup.properties and take
    the value of installationPass property
    3. Update T_RES_SERVER with the encrypted password value taken
    from above file:
     db2 connect to TPCDB
     db2 set schema TPC
     db2 update t_res_server set password='encrypted_pass_value'
    where SERVER_TYPE=1
     db2 disconnect TPCDB
    4. Start the Data Server and the Device server
