Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All color remap users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: PCOM shows Field Attribute (FA) color * * with its own field color. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A field in the presentation space (emulator screen) begins with a Field Attribute byte. When color mapping is used (Edit - Preferences - Appearance - Color Mapping...) to highlight fields, the Field Attribute (FA) is also highlighted. This causes confusion to the user about the starting position of the field. When color remap for the field attribute color is done, the FA postion shows the color of the field. The user does not want the Field Attribute position to have its own field color.
Problem conclusion
PCSWS.EXE and PCSPREF.DLL have been changed to add a new WS profile keyword to control the Field Attribute color. When "RemapFA" keyword in the "Colors" section of the WS file is set to 1, then: 1) FA postion of "protected field" will have the color of the previous FA color, if previous FA is protected. 2) FA postion of "unprotected field" will have the color of the previous FA color. This makes the highlighted fields more readable. The default for this new keyword is set to disable. To enable this function, modify the WS profile using a ASCII editor and add this keyword: [Colors] RemapFA=1 Fix is scheduled for PCOM 6.0.7 Refresh Pack
