APAR status

Error description

  • If the device configuration file is modified such that the
library name needed for mounting the backup volume is not
consistent.  For example:

DEVICE=lb1.0.0.2 ONLINE=YES

LIBRARY=jolib DEVICE=mt1.1.0.2 ONLINE=YES

The library name is defined using upper case and the library
name used in define drive is lower case. The restore database
command will fail due to not able to find the drive path using
the lower case library  name.

Local fix

  • Modify the device configuration file to make sure the library
name matches and re-issue the restore database command.
