IC88475: ANR9999D ERROR WITH MULTIPLE IP ADDRESSES CODED IN THE HLA PARAMETER

Error description

• Messages like "ANR9999D_0448664677
  PvrZosFindLeastUsedAddressBlock(pvrzo-sm.c:4091) Thread<127>:
  AddrBlk not found for MSTSMMGDEV, LLA 1556" can be seen in the
  ACTLOG when multiple IP addresses are coded in the HLA parameter
  when using DEFINE SERVER to define the z/OS Media server to a
  Tivoli Storage Manager Server. This results in some IP addresses
  not being able to connect. The problem is that the HLA parameter
  is limited to forty (40) characters, so multiple addresses can
  overflow the parameter area, this is most likely when using
  multiple dotted IP addresses.
  

Local fix

• The work around is to specify a comma delimited list of short
  name addresses instead of dotted number addresses in the HLA.
  Limit the total amount of characters use to 40 or less.
  For example:-
  HLA=ABC11A,ABC11B,ABC11C,ABC11D     will work properly where as
  HLA=123.345.67.30,123.345.67.62,123.345.67.94,123.345.67.126
  will result in the ANR9999D.
