IC85216: SSL KEY REPOSITORY METHOD FAILS WITH XB60, XB62 AND XM70.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The XB60/62 device does not connect when mq-qm object is
configured as SSL Key Repository using KDB
method.It fails with following error message.

Failed to convert MQ SSL Key Repository to SSL Proxy Profile.
Error code - '255'

The only way to configure SSL channel for mq-qm object is to use
ssl-proxy-profile.

Local fix

  • You can use SSL Proxy profile method.

Problem summary

  • Affected are customers who use key store file without SSL proxy
profile for MQ QM object.


The MQ QM object cannot connect to the MQ server with SSL key
store file in XB60, XB62 or XM70 model.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available on 4.0.2.9 and 5.0.0.3.
