IC82973: SERVER INSTANCE CREATION WITH DSMICFGX FAILS WITH ERROR 302, IF THE INSTANCE NAME IS LONGER THAN 8 CHARACTERS

Error description

• When trying to create an instance using the wizard (dsmicfgx)
  and with an invalid name, it will fail to create the instance
  with error 302 because the wizard did not validate the instance
  name from the instance field prior to trying to create the
  instance.
  
  Diagnostic:
  Consult dsmicfgx.trc and look for the following:
  com.tivoli.dsm.ServerConfig.ServerDB.createDb2Instance(): rc
  from cmd was -1952

Local fix

• The instance name is invalid. It cannot:
  1. be more than 8 characters long.
  2. start with sql, ibm, or sys.
  3. contain characters other than a-z, $, #, @, _, or 0-9.
  
  Try the command again with a valid instance name.
