Error description

• It is possible for performance to decrease after upgrading to
  Tivoli Storage Manager Server 6.3.  This is caused by the server
  enabling the DB2 INTRA_PARALLEL configuration parameter in this
  new version.
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected: 6.3
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics: Notable performance decrease after
  upgrading to 6.3.  If they are not at the 6.3 level, this APAR
  does not apply.

Local fix

• These updates can be done while the server is running and take
  effect immediately:
  db2 attach to <TSM server instance>
  db2 update dbm cfg using MAX_QUERYDEGREE 1
  db2 update db cfg for TSMDB1 using DFT_DEGREE 1
  db2 terminate
  
  - To verify the update did change the updated parameters the
  following commands can be run.
  
  db2 attach to <TSM server instance>
  db2 get dbm cfg show detail
  db2 connect to TSMBD1
  db2 get db cfg for TSMDB1 show detail
  
  After a fixing level is installed with this APAR,
  use the following instructions to set
  INTRA_PARALLEL to NO.  Note that this should
  be done with the server halted.  If not, the
  value won't be used until the server is halted
  and subsequently started.
  
  db2 attach to <TSM server instance>
  db2 update dbm cfg using INTRA_PARALLEL NO
  db2 terminate
