IC82398: DATA PROTECTION FOR EXCHANGE IMR CAN NOT DISTINGUISH BETWEEN USER MAILBOXES WITH THE SAME DISPLAY NAME

Error description

• When there is more than 1 mailbox with the same DISPLAY name, a
  Mailbox Restore using Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail: Data
  Protection for Microsoft Exchange can not distinguish between
  the mailboxes and only one mailbox can be restored. , For
  example:

  John A. Doe, John K. Doe, and John Z. Doe all have the same
  display name of John Doe, an IMR operation will restore which
  ever mailbox is listed first.

Local fix

• There is not a local fix or means to restore the individual
  mailbox for the other users. To get the data for the other
  mailboxes, the full storage group/database must be restored and
  the data extracted with the MS ESE tools.

Problem conclusion

• Data Protection for Exchange has been changed to be able to
  distinguish between mailboxes with the same display name while
