APAR status

Error description

  • When using a Load Balancer Group (LBG) to dynamically retrieve
    Workload Management Information for WAS (WebSphere
    Application Server) cell members, an unexpected restart can
    occur if the next LBG member is chosen at the same time that
    DataPower detects a WAS cell member has went down.
    

Local fix

  • Create an LBGroup with static members (as opposed to the WLM
    dynamic members)
    

Problem summary

  • Affected are DataPower customers using Load Balancer Groups
    enabled to retrieve workload management information
    
    Problem Summary:
    
    Restart might occur if a load balancer group member is removed
    from the group while requests are being routed to this member.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available in 3.8.2.12, 4.0.1.10 and 4.0.2.6.
