Error description

  • Tivoli Storage Manager server will crash if an Administrative
Schedule attempts to write data to a file that the server does
    not have the correct permission.

    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    Example of Admin Schedules:
                      Schedule Name: INSTRBEGIN
                        Description: Instrumentation trace
                            Command: instr begin
                        ...
                      Schedule Name: INSTREND
                        Description: Instrumentation trace
                            Command: instr end file=/tsmserver/
                                     instr/instr.out
         ...
The problem is the OS file permission for the directory did not
allow the server instance owner account to access this output
    file.
