APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • From the WebGUI, DataPower may fail to display a Front Side
Handler in Web Service Proxy (WS-Proxy) Local Endpoint Handler
drop-down list if that Front Side Handler is already attached
to another WS-Proxy.

Local fix

  • 1. From the Web GUI (left navigation), click Objects -> Service
Configuration -> Web Service Proxy
2. Select the Web Service Proxy (WS-Proxy) of interest.
3. On the 'Main' tab of the WS-Proxy configuration page, click
to edit the 'Endpoint Rewrite Policy'.
4. Click on the 'Local Rewrite Rules' tab to edit or manipulate
the Local Endpoint Handler or information.

Problem summary

  • All DataPower customer using the Web Service Proxy are
potentially affected.

The Web Service Proxy does not show all Local Endpoint Handlers.

The Web Service Proxy Local Endpoint Handlers drop-down was
excluding Local Endpoint Handlers already in use by another Web
Service Proxy.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available on 3.8.2.11, 4.0.1.8, 4.0.2.4
