IC81080: SERVER CRASH DUE TO DELETE OR VARY OFF OF A DISK VOLUME

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A timing issue  may cause the server to crash under the
  following conditions :
   - Client backup is going to a disk stgpool with simultaneous
      write enabled to a sequential stgpool
   - A vary off or a delete is done for one of the disk stgpool
     volumes
   - At the end of the backup, when the server is ending the
     transaction, the disk volume is missed and that causes the
     crash.
