  • Error Description: The TSM client may crash during scheduled
backups if the HSM for Windows agent is installed.  Running
backups manually, or from the GUI does not crash, only scheduled
backups.

Local fix

  • Manual backups can be run via the command line or GUI.  Also the
use of the skipmigrated=yes option will allow scheduled backups
to complete.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been resolved.
Install the fix level of the HSM for Windows client as mentioned
in the summary in order to resolve the crash reported for the
TSM Backup-Archive client scheduler.
