IC80531: FTP DIRECTORY LISTING MAY FAIL DUE TO TIMESTAMP FORMAT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An FTP directory listing may fail when the timestamp is not in
  the form: '\d{2}:\d{2}'. An example of such problematic
  timestamp format is '9:54' (one-digit hour due to lack of
  leading zero).
  
  Sample directory content:
  -rwxrwxrwx   1 owner    group           0 Dec 19 21:12 a.txt
  -rwxrwxrwx   1 owner    group      262500 Dec  8  9:54 b.txt
  -rwxrwxrwx   1 owner    group      262500 Dec  8  9:54 c.txt
  -rwxrwxrwx   1 owner    group           0 Dec 19 21:12 d.txt
  
  Listing the above directory will show file 'a.txt' and then
  throw an error message similar to the following when it tries to
  process 'b.txt':
  SFTP Server: Invalid listing format [-rwxrwxrwx 1 owner group]
  
  Error in stream. Descriptor number unavailable.
  Additional information: Write error (8) Bad file descriptor (9)
  

Local fix

• Configure the FTP server to convert timestamps to have a leading
  '0' if < 10 hours.
  Example:
   Convert '9:54' to '09:54'
  

Problem summary

• Affected are DataPower customers using ftp or sftp URL
  
  
  DataPower fails to get the directory listing with single-digit
  hour
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is available in 3.8.1.19, 3.8.2.10, 4.0.1.7 and 4.0.2.3
