Error description
Server can crash during checkout libvolume if its parses a file which should contain a list of volumes, but instead contains other data such as ; ANR2034E SELECT: NO MATCH FOUND USING THIS CRITERIA This is because a select command was run before it, to generate a file, that is then parsed to the checkout linvol command, but the select returns no volumes to be processed ,and produces ANR2034E error. pvr mms trace shows symptoms when C:\vols.list is output from a select command. 12:49:18.194 [70][output.c][6716][PutConsoleMsg]:ANR0984I Process 30 for CHECKOUT LIBVOLUME started in the BACKGROUND at 12:49:18.~ 12:49:18.194 [84][mmsflag.c][2965][FlagCheckoutVolume]:Checking out volume(s) from library 3592LIB, force 0, verify label 0, isDrm 0, remove 1. 12:49:18.194 [84][mmsflag.c][6211][BeginActivity]:Beginning CHECKOUT activity for 349X library 3592LIB. 12:49:18.194 [84][mmslib.c][6714][MmsFindLibDesc]:Finding descriptor for library 3592LIB (Desc Any State). 12:49:18.194 [84][mmslib.c][7269][MmsGetNextVolumeInRange]:MmsGetNextVolumeIn Range, InVol is empty. 12:49:18.194 [84][mmslib.c][7375][MmsGetNextVolumeInRange]:OutVol = ANR2034E SELECT: NO MATCH FOUND USING THIS CRITERIA.. 12:49:18.194 [84][mmslib.c][7267][MmsGetNextVolumeInRange]:MmsGetNextVolumeIn Range, InVol = ANR2034E SELECT: NO MATCH FOUND USING THIS CRITERIA.. 12:49:18.194 [84][mmslib.c][7377][MmsGetNextVolumeInRange]:OutVol is empty. 12:49:18.194 [84][mmsflag.c][6395][EndActivity]:Ending CHECKOUT activity for 349X library 3592LIB. you can see: OutVol = ANR2034E SELECT: NO MATCH FOUND USING THIS CRITERIA. and InVol = ANR2034E SELECT: NO MATCH FOUND USING THIS CRITERIA. which are clearly not volume names. This has also been seen when file contains: ANR2004E Missing value for keyword parameter - ORDER. Initial Impact: Medium . Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected: v6.2 server on all platforms .
