Error description

  • Datapower is throwing an error stating that it could not parse
    the result from Oracle. The result is:

    <sql result="error">
    <message>
    Could not parse results of SQL statement execution: Incomplete
    markup or missing document element at offset 0 of file:///%sql%
    </message>
    </sql

    This problem occurs when multiple stored procedures with the
    same name but different parameters signatures are used.

Local fix

  • The workaround is to use unique names for each stored procedure.

Problem summary

  • Customers that use multiple stored procedures with the same name
    but different parameters will encounter problems using the
    stored procedures.

    The problem arises from an incompatibility resulting from the
    logic that contacts the database to describe the parameters for
    the stored procedure

    The problem happens when DataPower attempts to get a description
    of the parameters for the stored procedure being called

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
