Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All 3270 host application users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: PROGxxx errors occur in the OIA when * * running some 3270 host applications * * due to data stream errors. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** 3270 host data stream causes PCOM to issue these PROG errors: PROG752 A SET BUFFER ADDRESS, REPEAT TO ADDRESS, or ERASE UNPROTECTED TO ADDRESS order that specified an invalid address was received. PROG753 One or more of the following conditions occurred: A READ MODIFIED, READ MODIFIED ALL, or READ BUFFER command that also contained data was received. A REPEAT TO ADDRESS or GRAPHIC ESCAPE order that specified an invalid character set was received. A START FIELD EXTENDED, MODIFY FIELD, or SET ATTRIBUTE order that specified an invalid attribute value or character set was received. PROG754 One of the following commands was received without required parameters: SET BUFFER ADDRESS REPEAT TO ADDRESS ERASE UNPROTECTED TO ADDRESS START FIELD START FIELD EXTENDED MODIFY FIELD SET ATTRIBUTE GRAPHIC ESCAPE PROG755 Invalid character code was received. PROG797 SO was received. But SO/SI are not paired correctly The user needs a way to ignore these errors and continue using the host 3270 application.
Problem conclusion
PCSLT.DLL has been changed to ignore PROG752, PROG753, PROG754 PROG755 and PROG797 when the IgnoreProgError keyword is used in the 3270 session profile with a value of Y. [LT] IgnoreProgError=Y The default value for this keyword is N. When the keyword is not used or is set to N, these PROG errors will be written to the PCOM Message Log PCWMSG.MLG file. Fix is scheduled for PCOM 5.9.8 Refresh Pack Fix is scheduled for PCOM 6.0.4 Refresh Pack
