Error description

  • PCOMM 6.0 on Windows XP
    
    User is trying to convert macros using pcsxml.exe utility. When
    trying to use a network drive as a destination directory, the
    application abends with:
    
    Macro Conversion Utility has encountered a problem and needs to
    close.
    
    The problem occurs in pcsxml.exe, offset 127B.

    Using the convert macros utility pcsxml.exe with a network
    drive as a destination directory, the application abends with:
    
    Macro Conversion Utility has encountered a problem and needs
    to close.
    
    The problem occurs in pcsxml.exe, offset 127B. The error is
    caused by the incorrect authority level used when the output
    file is located on a network drive.
    

Problem conclusion

  • PCSXML.EXE has been changed to open the target file with the
    correct authority level.
    
    Fix scheduled for PCOM 6.0.4 Refresh Pack
