• Problem Description:
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Server versions 6.2 ship with DB2 9.7
  which supports index compression.  New databases formatted
  with server version 6.2 have index compression enabled on
  them.
  
  Index compression has two benefits:  1) Less space occupied in
  the database by the indices; 2) A potential for enhanced
  database performance.
  
  This APAR is deliver support in which server 6.1 databases
  which are upgraded to server versions 6.2 and later have index
  compression enabled on them.
  
  Note, that enabling index compression differs from having the
  indices compressed--when a server fixing level is installed
  with this APAR, the indices will be enabled for index
  compression, and when index reorganization runs on that table,
  the indices will actually be compressed.
