Error description

• The Data Protection for Exchange may perform slowly in
  environments with a slow Active Directory and multiple Exchange
  servers, even if those servers do not have mailboxes.

Local fix

• In the TDPEXC.CFG file, and the following line:
  
  STOREMAILBOXINFO NO
  
  This stops Data Protection for Exchange from updating the
  mailbox history during a backup.
  However, using this option will cause the Individual Mailbox
  Restore, to fail if any of the mailbox locations change
  locations after the last successful update mailbox history
  procedure.

Problem conclusion

• Data Protection for Exchange code has been changes so that it
  will only query Exchange Servers with a Mailbox Role to obtain
  information regarding user mailboxes in Exchange 2007 and
  later environments.
