IC78303: CACHED DOCUMENTS WITH ANY OF THE CHARACTERS ?*[].^ IN THEIR URL MIGHT NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE CACHE AFTER CLICKING REFRESH.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On the Document Status page (WebGUI Status -> XML Processing ->
  Document Status), there is a "Refresh" button next to each
  document in the caches. However, if you click Refresh to flush
  a particular document with any of the characters ?*[].^ in its
  URL, the "Refresh" button does not flush the document out of the
  cache.
  

Local fix

• As a temporary workaround, you may flush the document from the
  document cache from the command line.  The parameter to the
  clear command is a pattern. If the URL contains any of the
  ?*[].^ characters, these characters must be escaped with a
  preceding backslash (\)
  Example: <a href="http://myurl.com\?more\*text\[aaaa\]\.\^done"
  target="_blank">http://myurl.com\?more\*text\[aaaa\]\.\^done</a>
  
  In the command line, enter:
  # documentcache <name of XML Manager>
  # clear <a PATTERN that will match the document's URL>
  
  You may also choose to flush all documents from the document
  cache in the WebGUI or the command line.
  
  In the WebGUI, navigate to the XML Manager
  configuration, and select "Flush Document Cache".
  
  From the command line, enter:
  # documentcache <name of XML Manager>
  # clear *
  

Problem summary

• Affected is the flushing of certain documents from the document
  cache.
  
  Some cached documents with any of the characters ?*[].^ in their
  URLs might not be cleared from the cache after clicking the
  "refresh" button.

• Fix is available in 3.8.0.16, 3.8.1.16, 3.8.2.7,
  4.0.1.4, 4.0.2.1 and XE82 1.0.0.2
