While processing IAC (interpret as command) telnet data, there
were some other procedures still using the data necessary for
IAC processing. This caused the session to hang.

Problem conclusion

  • PCSTLNET.DLL has been changed to wait for the preliminary
procedures to finish before processing the IAC. A time delay
has been added to correct this error.

Fix is scheduled for PCOM 5.9.8 Refresh Pack
Fix is scheduled for PCOM 6.0.4 Refresh Pack

    ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS:
3270 Associated Printer session fails to re-connect after a host
print job completes normally. Task Manager shows the PCSWS.EXE
process does not terminate when the session is closed.
