Error description

  • Appliance restart might occur during a binary transform with a
    specific FFD file where the output needs to be interrupted
    and output type is PIPE.
    An example of an FFD construct that needs an output interrupt is
    the countField feature.
    

Local fix

  • Change the output of the binary transform from PIPE to
    a named context.
    

Problem summary

  • Affected is the use of a binary transform action with a
    specific FFD file where the output is set to the PIPE
    context.
    
    Appliance might restart if the binary transformation code
    requires an interrupt of output, for example by the FFD
    countField feature.

  • Fix is available in 3.8.2.7, 4.0.1.2, 4.0.2.1 and XE82 1.0.0.2
