IC76197: BLADEMANAGER FAILS TO REGISTER DATABLADES IN UTF8 DATABASES WHENSQL_LOGICAL_CHAR IS USED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The blademanager fails to register datablades into databases
  with DB_LOCALE=<lang>_<terr>.utf8 when SQL_LOGICAL_CHAR is set
  to ON, 1, 2, 3 or 4.

Local fix

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• When SQL_LOGICAL_CHAR feature was added to server, it did not
  make it compatible to the existing blade registration. Now the
  new code is added to make blade registration working with
  SQL_LOGICAL_CHAR feature.  Fixed in IDS 11.50.xC10 and
  11.70.xC5.
