APAR status

Error description

  • If a Web Service Proxy is handling traffic and the
domain is restarted, an appliance restart might occur.

Local fix

  • Do not restart the domain when a Web Service Proxy handles
traffic.

Problem summary

  • Affected are DP systems running a Web Service Proxy service.

When a stylesheet used by the WS Proxy is cleared from the
stylesheet cache while that WS Proxy service is handling data
traffic, the appliance's firmware may restart.

This is caused by a programming error in accessing WS Proxy data
structures.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available on 3.8.0.13, 3.8.1.12 and 3.8.2.4.
