Error description

  • Installed the latest PCOM 6.0.2.0 on a Win7 image. It seems
    like there is a change in the way PCOM reads the pcswin.ini
    file. We have

    [View1]
    Description=Startup

    defined in the pcswin.ini file. We use the "start-up.bch" file
    to launch the PCOM sessions.

    If [LastExitView] exists in the pcswin.ini, PCOM seems to ignore
    the defined "Startup" view and it also launches PCOM printer1.ws
    in the foreground.

    If [LastExitView] does NOT exist in the pcswin.ini, then PCOM
    sessions are opened as expected.

    This only happens in PCOM 6.0.2.0.

    When a view is specified in command line or in a BCH file it
    is being overridden by the LastExitView function.

Problem conclusion

  • PCSWS.EXE has been changed to not run LastExitView when a
    saved view is used with a BCH file or command line to start
    emulator sessions.
