  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If DBMEMPERCENT option is set in the dsmserv.opt configuration
file and physical memory size has changed, Tivoli Storage
Manager server does not detect the change, resulting in DB2
Database Manager configuration parameter INSTANCE_MEMORY
remaining at old fixed value.

TSM Versions Affected:
Tivoli Storage Manager server 6.x on all platforms

Local fix

  • Update DB2 Database Manager configuration using following
command:
db2 update dbm cfg using INSTANCE_MEMORY <size_in_4KB_blocks>
