IC73563: ONLINE.LOG REPORTS ERROR -214 AND -107 WHEN IDS WAS BROUGHT ONLINE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer had scheduled update statistics on change tables to run
  on weekdays while weekends are disabled in ph_task. Before the
  time for next task runs, IDS was brought to online mode. Soon
  after IDS reports error -214 and -107.

  Error -214 Cannot remove file for table (Current AUS tables are
  in use).

  Error -107 ISAM error:  record is locked.
  
  The error implied that refresher could have started first before
  the evaluator and so creating table locks when the evaluator
  tried to do table cleanup. In fact, the evaluator was scheduled
  by customer to run first and refresher next. They were set at 10
  minutes apart according to ph_task entries.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * the same day and for some reason the server was offline that *
  * day, the next time server comes online, both the tasks will  *
  * be scheduled to run and AUS Evaluator incorrectly assumes    *
  * the Refresher is already running and returns -214 error in   *
  * online log.                                                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Upgrade to 11.50xC9 or higher.                               *

Problem conclusion

• The problem is fixed in 11.50xC9 and above.
