IC73532: WINDOWS 2008 PROGRESSIVE SYSTEMSTATE BACKUP PERFORMANCE ISSUE

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Tivoli Storage Manager server displays high CPU load and
  high mutex locking during Windows 2008 systemstate backups.
  Tivoli Storage Manager client progressive systemstate backups on
  Windows 2008 are very slow with an extremely low aggregate data
  transfer rate.
  No issue is seen with filesystem incremental backup.
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected: all
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  Tivoli Storage Manager client instrumentation trace
  (testflag instrument:detail) of the Windows 2008 systemstate
  backup shows that almost all time is spent in category "Other".
  Client trace (traceflag service) shows that an excessive amount
  of time is spent getting the list of files from the server
  belonging to previous systemstate backup
  (function PrivObjEnumBack) and reassigning objects from the old
  group to the new group (function baAssignObjsToGroup). Both
  functions work as designed.  Server trace with flags "session
  group delta back backd" will show slow downs in the server
  grouping code.
