Error description

  • Event categories are incorrectly identified as duplicates.  The
log will show "Duplicate category" for the specific
category.

Local fix

  • Simply disable then enable the log category or restart the
domain.

Problem summary

  • Affected are customers performing device administration.

A log category might be incorrectly identified as duplicate.

There is a race condition between closing and opening the log
category.

Simple workaround: disable log category, then enable again.

Fix will be available in next major releases.
