IC71680: SQL ERROR -1207 WHEN ALTERING ANY INTEGER TYPE TO LVARCHAR

Error description

• If you're altering a column from integer, integer8 or bigint (or
  corresponding serial) data types to lvarchar, this can fail with
  error:
  
       -1207 "Converted value does not fit into the allotted
  space"
  
  This will occur only if the column holds data outside the range
  0 - 10.
