Error description

• PCOMM V6 on Windows Vista
  
  Customer uses panel with links to URLs / files
  example: http://www.59374.com   or   file://d:\test.pdf
  If this link points to a incorrect URL, the browser shows a
  message stating that the URL could not be found. This is as
  expected. If the link points to a file that does not exist, the
  following misleading message appears:
  
  PCSWKBD600 Kein Web Browser konfiguriert. Siehe Web Browser
  konfigurieren.
  
  As soon as the user changes the link to the correct file name,
  Adobe Reader opens.
  The problem occurs with all kinds of file URLs (txt, doc....)

Problem summary

  *                      location or file name, the browser      *
  *                      configuration is shown to the user      *
  *                      when the user tries to open the file    *
  *                      using the hotspots feature.             *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  If a file does not exist in the location pointed by the URL,
  the current processing of PCOMM opens a browser configuration
  dialog. It does not show the user that a wrong file has been
  mentioned or the file does not exist.
  

Problem conclusion

• PCSWKDB.DLL has been changed to prompt the user with a message
  box when the file URL hotspot is not found.
